Thomas has served as general counsel and trusted advisor to the Contursi family since 2013. Thomas focuses his legal practice on corporate transactional matters related to the family enterprise. This includes the family's core rare coin businesses, direct investments in the wine industry, and other real estate investments. As the gatekeeper for the family office, Thomas also works closely with our team and outside experts on estate planning, advanced tax strategy, and specialized legal matters, to name a few.  

During his time working with the Contursi family, Thomas has gained extensive knowledge and expertise about U.S. rare coins and is now one of the leading authorities on U.S. rare coins as an asset class.  He believes in the continued growth of this category and focuses on working exclusively with family offices and qualified investors who are interested in diversifying their portfolio.  In recognition of his contributions, Thomas partnered with the Contursi family and built of co-investment fund designed to give investors access to the family's core rare coin business.

In his spare time, he enjoys studying (and drinking) wine and playing pick-up basketball as he travels between New York City, Napa, and his hometown, Laguna Beach.
