A U.S. Air Force veteran with an MBA, Michael Contursi has spent more than 20 years working side-by-side with his father, Steve Contursi, one of the most respected figures in American numismatics. He manages the day-to-day operations of the firm and leads all numismatic sales activities, working directly with dealers, collectors, and private clients on the acquisition and placement of museum-quality rare coins.

During this time he has been personally involved in hundreds of millions of dollars of rare coin transactions and has handled some of the most significant and historically important United States coins to come to market. His work has been recognized by the industry: he was named one of Coin World’s Most Influential People in Numismatics and is a recipient of the American Numismatic Association’s Century Club Award.

Together with his father, Michael helps oversee one of the largest active inventories of museum-quality U.S. rare coins in private hands. He represents the next generation of Contursi leadership—combining deep, hands-on market experience with a clear focus on bringing the family’s rigorous standards and sourcing advantages to sophisticated investors and family offices seeking tangible, long-term assets.
